Stephanie Santoso was born and raised in Indonesia. She has always been passionate about art and design. When she looks at buildings, spaces, or artwork, a lot of ideas come to her mind. Therefore, these ideas inspire her to be a great designer. She started following her dream when she pursued a Bachelor of Architecture in Petra Christian University, Indonesia. During her bachelor, she learned how to design the whole structure of the building and focused more on the exterior. 

 

Having a bachelor’s degree in Architecture was not enough for her. She thought that she needed to expand her skill not only in exterior but also in interior space. Then she came to Academy of Art University to pursue her master degree in Interior Architecture & Design. She believed that interior design offers much that she could not find in architecture. She discovered the fact that interior designers are not decorating the space but sculpting the space.It is an art of how interior designers give form and character to spaces so it will affect the mood and behavior of the users. 

 

In her journey of learning in interior design, she is also interested in designing textiles and furniture for the interior. She found it is fascinating to give her signature and little details in the design. Therefore, her ultimate goal is to have an Interior design/Architecture firm and furniture design company.
